Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is Finally Arriving in November
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition comes out on PC and on Xbox Game Pass on November 14, 2019.
While Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition was confirmed all the way back in 2017, we did not hear much about it until this year. It had a significant presence at E3 2019, and DualShockers came away very impressed with what we saw of the game. That being said, it was still without a release date for all of this time. Fortunately, the wait to find out the game’s release date is over as @charleyyrachael confirmed when Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will be coming out during Microsoft’s Gamescom Inside Xbox Livestream.
Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition is releasing for PC on November 14, 2019. It is already available to pre-order, though it will be available through the PC version of Xbox Game Pass from day one. This November release does unfortunately mean that the game will miss its exact 20 year anniversary, which is on September 30. It will also be going head to head with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order as well as Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, as those titles all release that week as well.
That being said, Age of Empires II fans looking forward to the suite of visual enhancements, multiplayer improvements, and new content through The Last Khans are probably more excited than ever now that its release is imminent. Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition release for PC on November 14.
