Today, during a panel at Anime Expo 2018 in Los Angeles, Zero Escape series creator Kotaro Uchikoshi and Spike Chunsoft finally revealed the game previously code-named Project Psync.

The game is  AI: The Somnium Files, and it will come for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Unfortunately, there is no release window disclosed at the moment. Yet, we did get a trailer, and you can watch it below, alongside some illustrations for characters Date and Iris.

The story is set in near-future Tokyo and prompts the player to investigate on a series of mysterious murder cases, with character design by No More Heroes artist Yusuke Kozaki.

The themes of the game are (obviously) artificial intelligence, but also widespread surveillance, and love, which are all associated with the term "AI" and its pronunciation in Japanese and English.

It's certainly an intriguing announcement, and I can't wait to take a better look at the game down the line. Not much more is known, but hopefully, the game isn't too far off, and we'll hear more in the near future.
