"Akaneiro: Demon Hunters" Clears Its Kickstarter Goal and Offers Updates On Rewards and Ouya Development

While Akaneiro: Demon Hunters as a game has already been completed, developer American McGee and Spicy Horse’s journey with Kickstarter–from launching the campaign to defending the intent of it against an article from Kotaku, has finally come to a close as of this past Saturday, February 02, 2013. The developers were able to raise $204,680 out of an intended $200,000 goal, and via a recent update, tell backers and fans where the Akaneiro franchise goes from here.

Besides some “house cleaning” and delivering campaign rewards to backers (with physical items getting prepared or shipping), there’s a lot of thought being put into development for the Ouya, not just for Akaneiro, but for other games as well. Also, people who still wish to purchase certain items will still be allowed to through their PayPal website. McGee also encourages fans to send questions or suggestions to their team email or their forums, or via live game room chat on SpicyWorld, although updates are promised to come soon.

Players cans check out the game at the Akaneiro: Demon Hunters home website, and–as always–stay tuned to DualShockers.com for more news.
