XSEED staff member Tom Lipschultz has updated the official localization blog with more information about the Acquire developed RPG Akiba's Beat, coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Q1 2017.

The blog informs fans of the excitement expressed by the team as they take on their largest English dub to date. Spanning over "22,000 voice files" and "180 different roles", Akiba's Beat far exceeds the company's latest release, Trails of Cold Steel II, which had 12,000 voiced files.

Furthermore, the blog provides details on each individual voice actor and their approach as they took on each character. From the looks of it, every encounter seemed to be a smooth and easy process in the recording room.

The game will also come have a Japanese voice over option "because choice is always a good thing". However, Tom has informed Vita owners that the Japanese voice over tracks will need to be downloaded off of the PSN because the file is too big for the cartridge. The PlayStation 4 disc will contain both voice options.

Tom ends the post by writing:

It’s been a whirlwind, but a wonderful experience overall, and I’m grateful to have been a part of it. Hope you guys are ready for an awesome dub once the game is released in Q1 2017.
