Castle Crashers and BattleBlock Theater developers The Behemoth teased earlier this week that they'd finally be revealing their fifth game today. It was worth the wait. After a two-hour marathon through their entire back catalog, the team revealed that Alien Hominid Invasion will be their next game. Check it out.

Outside of the name, not much was actually shown during the reveal. Instead, The Behemoth is bringing the game to different conventions, where they'll show off much more of the game. First up is PAX East next month. Alien Hominid Invasion will be playable there and The Behemoth will drop more details prior to the show opening so that those of us who can't be in attendance can get a look at the game.

However, while we don't know much yet, the few things we do know are very promising. On the stream, the team made sure to clarify that this is not a remake of the original game. Alien Hominid Invasion is brand new and has been built from the ground up. We also know that in traditional The Behemoth style, Invasion will feature full co-op. It will, of course, have solo play, but most of the studio's games really thrived when you played with friends. So, it's good to see them continuing to embrace the mode.

As of this writing, we don't know when Alien Hominid Invasion will come out or which platforms it will be on. That said, PAX East is right around the corner and all of that info will likely be available there. Make sure to stick with DualShockers for all the news coming out of PAX East next month.
