Alien: Isolation for Nintendo Switch Shown Off Again, Still Slated for 2019
Make your Halloween a bit scarier with this brand new trailer for the Nintendo Switch port of Alien: Isolation.
During a third-party sizzle reel during Nintendo’s E3 2019 Direct, it was revealed that SEGA and Creative Assembly’s Alien: Isolation would be coming to Nintendo Switch with the help of Feral Interactive. That being said, not much has been heard about this port since then. In the spirit of Halloween, Feral Interactive and SEGA finally decided to show off the Nintendo Switch port of Alien: Isolation again and it looks pretty good.
While Feral Interactive is mostly known for its Mac and iOS ports, the developer is beginning to branch out into bringing games over to Nintendo Switch. In September, they released the Nintendo Switch port of GRID Autosport, which was received well and had some neat bells and whistles like Gamecube controller support. Even though this Alien: Isolation port does not seem to have anything as surprising as that, Feral Interactive has confirmed that the base version of the Switch port will include all 7 seven DLC packs that released for other versions of Alien: Isolation.
Though the trailer released today is quite brief, the game seems to have transitioned over to Switch surprisingly well in the few cutscenes and gameplay snippets that we saw. Check it out for yourself below.
While Feral Interactive and SEGA still won’t share a release date for the game, they are still adamant that it will release sometime in 2019. DualShockers will be sure to let you know when we finally learn its release date. If you can’t wait to try this port out, it is available for PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One on Amazon.
