All Current Smartphone Games Co-Developed by DeNA with Nintendo are Free to Play

During DeNA’s investors meeting yesterday, reported on by the Wall Street Journal, chief executive Isao Moriyasu mentioned that the games are currently free to play and will rely on microtransactions to bring in money.

Miitomo, the first Nintendo smartphone app, is also referred to not as a game but as an entertainment feature. DeNA are open to additional content being added later on to make it a game.

Currently Miitomo is the only announced Nintendo smartphone app, which was first announced at the end of October and subsequently pushed into 2016.
