Pokemon Go is all set to receive a plethora of Generation 8 Pokemon from the Galar region, and fans are quite curious to know more about them. The game has been dominating the mobile gaming industry for quite a while now and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Niantic has been quite active in terms of adding new stuff to the game, with a plethora of events making their way into the game every month. From Spotlight Hour to Raid Hour and much more, there is no shortage of stuff to do for players out there.

In the past few days, the community has been quite unhappy with the recent update. Niantic incorporated a number of changes to make the game more accessible for players during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, those changes were reverted back last week, something it received a lot of backlash for.

Considering that the delta variant of the virus is spreading, and many countries have still lockdown restrictions in place, the update felt kind of rushed. Now, Niantic has announced some stuff which is again set to spark some debate.

Ultra Unlock Part 3 to Add Galar Pokemon - Release Date

Niantic has announced that Ultra Unlock Part 3 will be themed around Sword and Shield. This means that some Pokemon that were available in the Galar region of Sword and Shield will be added to the game. The final part of Ultra Unlock will run between Friday, August 20, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. to Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

The reason why the community is not happy with this is because of the fact that Generation 7 Pokemon has not yet been added to the game. While many Generation 7 Pokemon like Litten, Rowlet, and Popplio have been teased in the past it does make little sense to release Gen 8 before Gen 7.
