Allison Road Cancellation Statement Leaves Us with More Questions Than Answers

Following the cancellation of Allison Road, a P.T. inspired horror game being developed by Lilith Ltd and published by Team17, the team has given a statement to shed some light on what exactly caused things to go haywire.

“After a long consideration between Team17 and ourselves, we have reached a mutual agreement to end our collaboration on publishing Allison Road under Team17’s Games label. Sometime[s] things pan out differently than expected as game development and publishing have so many layers of complexity… We’d like to especially thank everyone for their support through-out, it has and will always be appreciated.”

Fans have been suggesting that the developers go back to Kickstarter, but it isn’t clear whether or not Team17 obtained the rights from publishing Allison Road. If they do, it’s unlikely we’ll ever see Allison Road ever again, or at least not as it was intended.

Allison Road was being developed as a spiritual successor to the horror game P.T. and ran a Kickstarter campaign before entering a partnership with Team 17.
