Here's how to defeat Alolan Raichu in Pokemon GO.

We're over two weeks into the Season of Legends and Pokemon GO is feeling incredibly fresh.

We've had what feels like constant Raid Boss changes, a nice selection of new wild Pokemon, a range of events, bonuses and so much more.

Within Raids, not only have we had new legendary Pokemon (Therian Formes of Landorus, Tornadus and Thundurus), new Mega Evolutions (Mega Manectric) and new Pokemon (Tynamo) but we're also getting a range of returning favourites, including Alolan Raichu.

With that in mind, let's check out if Alolan Raichu has a weakness and how to take it down in Pokemon GO.

CHARGE UP - Pokemon GO: Charge Up Electric Event Details

Thankfully, unlike many of the other Pokemon that are appearing in raids as part of the Charge Up event, Alolan Raichu is blessed with weaknesses. Alongside the expected Ground-type weakness, Alolan Raichu's Psychic-typing means it is also weak to Bug, Dark and Ghost-type moves.

Best Counters For Alolan Raichu Weakness

There are three solid Mega Evolutions players can bring to Alolan Raichu raids, they are Mega Beedrill, Mega Gengar and Mega Houndoom.

On top of those, Ground-type Pokemon including Rhyperior, Excadrill, Garchomp, Groudon and Landorus are all great choices.

If players want to exploit the Ghost or Dark-type weaknesses, there are some other great picks. These include Giratina, Darkrai and Chandelure.
