Yesterday, Amazon officially announced that they have started sending out invitation codes for Amazon Luna and they will continue granting access to more people in the coming days.

According to Amazon, the early access invitations for Luna will only be sent out for U.S. residents. With the early access codes, you will be able to play some upcoming Ubisoft titles like Assassin's Creed Valhalla on the service. Here are what the early access phase will feature:

• Amazon Luna—Where gamers go to play across Fire TV, PC, Mac, and on web apps for iPhone and iPad, with Android coming soon.

• The Luna+ Game Channel—For $5.99/month during early access, customers can play 50 games to start, with more added over time.

• The Ubisoft Channel, coming soon—Includes new and favorite titles, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, with a growing catalog throughout early access. Stay tuned for more news.

• The Luna Controller—Early access participants can play using any Bluetooth gaming controller that works with their devices. Participants may also purchase the Luna Controller for $49.99, and take advantage of Cloud Direct technology for lower latency gaming and use Alexa for easy voice control.

Among the world's billionaire companies, none has achieved a position in the video game industry like Microsoft, however, the competitors are still trying different formulas to have a persistence presence in the gaming area. Amazon's Twitch is currently the world's biggest and most popular streaming service with no doubts, but the company wants a bigger share of the industry.

Recently, Amazon announced its brand new streaming platform for gaming, which is going to be a direct competitor for Google's Stadia and Microsoft's xCloud. Amazon Luna is a subscription service that allows you to play games on any screen with high-speed wifi for $5.99 per month. Like xCloud, Luna has a certain library of games including all the titles from Ubisoft, 505 Games, Team 17, and Capcom. Of course, it doesn't have a library as big as that of xCloud, but it's being supported by some big publishers at the time being.

When it comes to the monthly fee, Luna is $9 cheaper than xCloud and $4 cheaper than Stadia. While Luna doesn't seem to be a challenger for xCloud thanks to Microsoft's incredible library of games on Game Pass, Amazon's cloud service has surely have a more interesting pack of games compared to Stadia. So, Google might need to be a little bit concerned about the current state of Stadia.
