As part of the allure of the Xbox One, Microsoft has been heavily embracing its new console as an “all-in-one” machine capable of all your gaming, movies, music, and television needs. Likewise, any good media center needs a good remote along with it, and come this spring, it looks like Microsoft will have you covered.
After appearing very briefly on Amazon Canada before being taken down (with an archive version thankfully still to be found on Google Cache), a pre-order page was originally seen for the Xbox One Media Remote, along with details for price ($24.99 CA, $22.69 for US) and the release date (March 4th, 2014). Curiously, the Amazon page listed the remote as a game, with a “Rating Pending” ESRB rating on the page (wonder if it will be rated Teen or Mature?)
Additionally, the remote also appeared in listings on Amazon UK and Amazon Italy shortly after with similarly respective price points, and a release date of April 4th, 2014 for both regions. With the listing appearing on three different Amazon sites, its looking likely that come this March/April, the sleek-looking Xbox One Media Remote will be making its way over to make your life navigating your favorite movies, TV shows, and games just that much easier.
