Amazon Ranks The Last of Us “Best Game of 2013,” Ni No Kuni Closes Top 10

Amazon just published the list of its “Best of 2013” for games, and The Last of Us received the top honors, followed by Rogue Legacy and The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds.

  1. The Last of Us
  2. Rogue Legacy
  3. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
  4. Tearaway
  5. Grand Theft Auto V
  6. Bioshock Infinite
  7. Rayman Legends
  8. Divekick
  9. Super Mario 3D World
  10.  Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch

It’s actually a quite nice list, and it doesn’t just follow popular trends and opinions too closely. I can definitely say that I agree with quite a few of the games selected. It’s also nice to see a lovely niche game like Ni No Kuni appearing in the rankings and (I know many will hate me for this) Grand Theft Auto V far from the top of the chart, for once.

The “editors” that compiled the list on behalf of Amazon definitely have my personal stamp of approval for making courageous and well thought out choices that possibly paint a better picture than those made by many established and popular gaming press outlets.
