Holiday sales and end-of-the-year specials have been in abundance for the last few weeks as 2013 came to a close, but Amazon has revealed its top picks for the best games of the year, and even thrown in a special for those that may have missed out on some of 2013's best titles.
Amazon's staff revealed their "Best of 2013" Top Ten List for Video Games, which includes plenty of the most-acclaimed titles from throughout the year, along with a few surprises thrown in, as well. Amazon's 2013 top ten list includes:
- 1) The Last of Us
- 2) Rogue Legacy
- 3) The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
- 4) Tearaway
- 5) Grand Theft Auto V
- 6) BioShock Infinite
- 7) Rayman Legends
- 8) Divekick
- 9) Super Mario 3D World
- 10) Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch
In addition to these titles, Amazon also gave an "Honorable Mention" to several titles that they also deemed noteworthy and wished to commend, even if they just missed out on the top ten list (in no particular order):
- Tomb Raider
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
- Metro Last Light
- Fire Emblem Awakening
- Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
- Gunpoint
- Monaco: What's Yours Is Mine
- Gone Home
- Papers, Please
- Dota 2
