We all know that Battlefield 4 isn’t exactly one of the best running games out there. To this day the title is plagued by bugs such as players being booted or dropped from matches–if they can even connect in the first place.
Things are bad enough for BF4 and this latest news isn’t making things any better. Today, AMD announced that its Mantle patch, which was supposed to be released this month, has been delayed.
Here is AMD’s official statement:
After much consideration, the decision was made to delay the Mantle patch for Battlefield 4. AMD continues to support DICE on the public introduction of Mantle, and we are tremendously excited about the coming release for Battlefield 4! We are now targeting a January release and will have more information to share in the New Year.
This isn’t surprising. Given all of the problems that the game is still experiencing it’s understandable that AMD will want to wait until things are more or less stable. DICE is hard at work on fixing Battlefield 4 so hopefully this patch will be released in January as AMD says it will.
