Developer Krillbite Studio and publisher SOEDESCO Studios have today announced that the first person horror game Among the Sleep, that released for PS4, PC and Xbox, is coming to the Nintendo Switch for you to enjoy the nightmare in handheld. Due to the vast success of the title on Steam which holds an 86% positive user rating and over 3300 positive reviews, it seems that the devs wanted this game to be enjoyed by even more people, and rightly so.

Among the Sleep – Enhanced Edition will come with enhanced graphics, new dialogue, and other significant improvements as it launches on the Switch both digitally and physically.

Among the Sleep takes the player into the mind of a two-year-old toddler who has lost his mommy. With an unusual teddy bear as his only companion, he wanders off through the eerily dark house to find her. What follows is a haunting search through grim and twisted environments, experienced through the eyes of a scared child.

Jon Cato Lorentzen who is CEO of Krillbite Studio talks briefly about how excited fans were at the prospect of Among the Sleep coming to the Nintendo Switch ever since the announcement:

“Ever since the Nintendo Switch was announced we’ve had fans contacting us requesting a port of the game for the Switch. After recently releasing the Enhanced Edition we thought the time was right, and SOEDESCO Studios has been the perfect partner to work with for the port.”

Jack Chauthi who is the Managing Director of SOEDESCO comments about how he is looking forward to the future as the studio follows the game in its growing progress:

“Krillbite has always been dedicated to creating impressive, high quality experiences. Bringing their game ‘Among the Sleep’ to the Nintendo Switch with our own in-house studio is something to look forward to and puts us in a strong position for the next stages of growth.”

Among the Sleep key features for the Nintendo Switch include:

  • Enhanced edition with new dialogue, better performance & visuals and more
  • Put the pieces of the puzzle together to find out what has happened to your mother
  • Creep through threatening environments like a twisted forest and a dark house
  • Unravel a disturbing story filled with tension, symbolism and psychological horror

Although there is no date currently announced, we do know it will be this year and hopefully not too far down the line. As always, DualShockers will bring you any information on this as soon as we hear it. In the meanwhile, you can check out some Switch screenshots below -
