Among Us Sound Samples Combined to Represent Tetris Is a Musical Masterpiece
Among Us fan composes in-game sounds to the tune of Tetris.
Many of us at this stage have had a shot at developer InnerSloth’s hottest game at the moment, Among Us. Whether you’re lying through your teeth to your teammates as the imposter or trying to figure out who took out orange in electrical, Among Us is a great way to come together with friends and forgot about the chaos of the world for a while. As we’ve seen time and time again, the gaming community is massively talented. There’s seriously no bounds to their creative ways of experimenting either through art, cosplay, or expressing themselves with video game music. Which leads me nicely onto this amazing video that combines a mashup of Among Us sounds to the tune of Tetris. Enjoy!
T1lted, a Youtuber who specializes in memes and all things Among Us, has created a video that takes sound samples from Among Us and carefully arranges them to form the perfect Tetris soundtrack. The amount of work T1lted has put into this video to get every single sound precise and correct is outstanding – I don’t even want to know how many hours it took them, a lot though is my guess. As you can see from the video below, T1lted took sound samples from in-game tones like doors closing, filling canisters, vent’s shutting, codes being entered, and even put together a funny clip of Among Us characters falling like the blocks from Tetris. All in all, it comes together so well and that tune is a banger.
However, T1lted did state that even though all the sound samples do come from the game, one synth bass was added by them to give the musical tone a little extra. You can check out T1lted’s YouTube channel right here for more Among Us shenanigans. If you enjoy seeing people do something a little different and creative like T1lted, make sure to check out Landon who is an artist, streamer, and sketch comedian. Landon recreated the kill animations in Among Us and replaced them all with popular anime moves.
In some other Among Us news, we heard last week that the game’s developer, Innserlsoth, announced that they’ve canceled plans for the sequel and will keep improving on the original game. In a post on their website, the developer said that they’re canceling Among Us 2 and focusing on making the original game even better. “We have decided to cancel Among Us 2 and instead put all our focus into improving Among Us 1,” said the developer in a statement. “All of the content we had planned for Among Us 2 will instead go into Among Us 1. This is probably the more difficult choice because it means going deep into the core code of the game and reworking several parts of it. We have lots of things planned and we’re excited to bring new content to everyone as you continue to enjoy playing.”
Among Us is available now on PC, iOS, and Android.
