The latest event within Pokemon GO's Season of Legends is starting to kick off in various parts of the world and along with it, a host of changes.

As well as new wild Pokemon and different 5km eggs, Niantic is once again giving us a fresh batch of raid bosses to take down.

This time out, sticking with the electric theme, players can take on the likes of Mega Manectric, Tynamo, Alolan Raichu and Ampharos.

With that in mind, let's check out if Ampharos has a weakness and how to take it down in Pokemon GO.

Ampharos Weakness Pokemon GO

Ampharos, like most Electric-type Pokemon, has one major weakness. That weakness is Ground-type Pokemon/moves. This is an area you should look to exploit heading into Ampharos raids.

Best Counters For Ampharos Weakness

Thankfully for players, Ampharos does have the singular weakness to Ground moves.

With there being no Ground-type Mega Evolutions in Pokemon GO, it's best not to consider Mega Pokemon here.

The only Pokemon in Pokemon GO that can take advantage of Ampharos' weakness is Ground-types. That means players should bring the likes of Rhyperior, Excadrill, Garchomp, Groudon and Landorus from this typeset. That said, while these five are arguably the best counters, any Pokemon with Ground-type moves will do a good job here.

Ampharos, being a Tier Three Pokemon, will require some strong counters to take down. That being said, players with good counters should be able to solo Ampharos with relative ease.
