An Inception Videogame? Yep, According to Christopher Nolan

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, uber-director Christopher Nolan stated that there is indeed a videogame being developed based on his most recent sci-fi masterpiece, Inception. Nolan states, “I always imagined Inception to be a world where a lot of other stories could take place. At the moment, the only direction we’re channeling that is by developing a videogame set in the world.”  While there was no mention of a specific development team or any schedules, he did mention that it would be a “longer term proposition.”

I absolutely adored Inception; my second and third times watching it convinced me that it has all the makings of a modern classic.  However, a videogame based on a movie with a notably complex structure and plot?  Something tells me Nolan is being a bit too overambitious, and a couple years down the line we’ll wonder what happened to “that game based on that loud movie that went ‘BWAAAARRRRMMMM’ a lot.”

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
