The developers of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed are looking for someone to fill in the shoes for a gameplay engineer for an open-world role-playing game. Right about now, we can assume that Chad Awkerman, our Reviews Editor, is clapping in joyous excitement as he takes in this news. I can tell you that, as an avid Star Wars fan myself, I'm doing the same and some.

Tweeted by LucasArts' Clint Hocking, the job advertisement for gameplay engineer obviously gives mention of the genre of the game.

Hocking was the creative director at Ubisoft, taking on games such as Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Far Cry 2. He departed the company in May 2010, after almost nine years, to work as creative director for LucasArts. I'm pretty sure that anyone with common sense, or an avid fan of the LucasArts brand, would have made the same choise (no offense, Ubisoft).

The job ad calls for console development experience, giving plausible indication that the enigmatic game will be arriving on home consoles. Oh, I can't wait!
