Most well-known among most fans for their work on the Scribblenauts series, developer 5th Cell has developed their own unique style for quirky visuals and creativity, and now the studio is expanding on that identity with their next upcoming title, the mobile-bound RPG Anchors in the Drift.

Developer 5th Cell has released a trailer for a new title that the studio has in the works called Anchors in the Drift, which is a mobile RPG that allows players to band together with friends on an adventure that spans across time in a socially-driven experience.

According to the studio, Anchors in the Drift has players take on one of five different character classes -- Commander, Thief, Bounty Hunter, Tycoon, and fifth class currently in development -- and journeying across time and space to battle against opponents and collect a resource called "Arc."

Given that the studio has been known for titles with a good amount of player creativity like Scribblenauts and Drawn to Life, it will be interesting to see what 5th Cell can bring to the table with Anchors in the Drift and a style of gameplay that, for the most part, is pretty far removed from what they have worked on previously.

Anchors in the Drift will release for iOS and Android. For more on the game, you can check out the trailer below, and you can head here to pre-register for the game before its debut.
