Sony Computer Entertainment President Andrew House is definitely confident in the capabilities of the PS4, and even more so in the ability of its controller and interface to involve both the “Hardest of Hardcore Gamers” and those that didn’t really play games before, as he told in an interview.

I think it’ll be around the content and the game experiences themselves, I think it’ll be about the value proposition, including the initial price of the console.

We feel that we have developed a controller interface that is equal accessible to the hardest of hardcore gamers who will get the fullest benefits out of their gaming experiences, but when used in combination with the camera or using the touch pad, is very very easily accessible even to the person that is playing games for the first time.

So far especially the DualShock 4 has been a quite fantastic experience for basically everyone I talked to, and the PS4’s interface is definitely sleek and snappy, so it’s not really that difficult to believe him.
