I’m sure that by now you have all become very familiar with Angry Birds, especially since it now has over 12 million downloads to date. Most probably can’t seem to pry themselves away from throwing birds at blocks, but that’s okay. We’ll forgive you. It was announced today by Mobile Streams, who is the global content retailer and developer of independant app store Appitalism.com, that they have sealed a deal with Rovio Mobile to license Angry Birds for its stores in all 51 countries worldwide.
“It’s great to have our game available on Appitalism.com,” said the Mighty Eagle at Rovio Mobile, Peter Vesterbacka. “We look forward to welcoming new fans from the Appitalism members and also seeing their feedback and ratings on the site.”
Appitalism.com is a free to join independent app store where members who write reviews and are active with the website are rewarded with titles and badges that earn them “App Rewards,” which can be redeemed for items in the Appitalism content catalog.
“We pride ourselves on being the one-stop-shop for all devices and platforms and for the quality of the apps we sell. Angry Birds is a very welcome addition to our current catalog of over 5 million premium apps and we are pleased to be offering the game to each and every one of our localized stores around the world,” added Simon Buckingham CEO of Mobile Streams.
