Angry Birds Space Slings 10 Million Downloads in Three Days

And you thought it was impressive for Apple’s new iPad to move 3 million units in four days. Well, the newest chapter in the Angry Birds franchise — and the only one to do more than introduce new birds or change up the graphic background — has already sold 10 million downloads. And it’s only been out for three days.

Other installments in the series, such as Rio and Seasons, didn’t do much more than give the action a new setting. But this sequel actually introduces new gameplay mechanics and shakes things up by turning the furious fowl into superheroes because, of course, mortal birds can’t breathe in outer space. It’s a no brainer. The game is available through the App Store, Android Marketplace and others. Prices vary between platforms.
