Animal Crossing: New Horizons has undoubtedly been one of this year's runaway successes. Nintendo's island hit, which recently received its spooky fall update, sold over 22 million copies in its first five months, won Game of the Year at Tokyo Game Show and has played host to some political campaigning ahead of this year's upcoming presidential election.

Now, with the game at the height of its popularity, Australia-based fashion company BlackMilk has confirmed a new collaboration between themselves and Nintendo.

In an official post on their website, BlackMilk shared:

"Your favourite islanders are coming to your wardrobe! Grab the cutest prints and totally unique designer pieces featuring Timmy and Tommy, Isabelle, K.K. and more when our official BlackMilk x Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection launces at 7am (AEST) 13 October - be there with bells on!"

The company, which offers worldwide shipping on the designs, is allowing people to sign up to receive more information on the Animal Crossing line as it drops. The retailers recommend getting in early as "whole collections sometimes sell out within hours on release day"

This isn't BlackMilk's first collaboration with a Nintendo IP. As part of the recent Super Mario 35th Anniversary Direct, Nintendo confirmed that BlackMilk would be releasing a line of Super Mario inspired outfits. Pre-orders for this collection begin as early as tomorrow, Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 7am AEST.

Animal Crossing fans will also have another item to purchase over the next couple of months. After a significant amount of time out of stock, Nintendo has confirmed that they will be re-releasing series 1-4 of the Animal Crossing Amiibo cards this November. The cards offer players the chance to get those sought after villagers to their island by purchasing then scanning them into their game.

The Animal Crossing: New Horizons x BlackMilk collection will be available for purchase on Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
