Animal Crossing: New Horizons Festivale Update Announced
Join Pavé and get into the Festivale spirit.
It’s no surprise Animal Crossing: New Horizons is still slated to receive regular updates. The title was one of last year’s biggest hits, selling over 26 million units in around six months. Now, in a brand new update video, Nintendo has shared what’s coming to the game next, and it’s time to party!
The Festivale update, which was teased during Nintendo’s last update video, hits the game tomorrow, January 28. The update sees the introduction of Pavé, the party-loving peacock.
The key celebration, Festivale, takes place on February 15, and there will be plenty for players to do. Brightly coloured feathers will be floating around the island, waiting to be collected and returned to Pavé. Upon return, the peacock does a celebratory dance and will teach the player their own special moves.
There will also be a whole host of new furniture and clothing items. Players can get dressed up in full carnival attire. This includes a feathered headdress and other sparkly clothes. These items will be available from February 1. The Nook twins will also be selling a special reaction set, complete with Feelin’ It, Let’s Go, Viva, and Confetti reactions.
At the end of the update video, Nintendo teased what players can expect during the next update. Arriving in March, it looks like Nintendo will be giving islanders the much anticipated Super Mario crossover event. The event was announced during last September’s Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Direct and now seems to be just over a month away.
