If your Animal Crossing: New Horizons island was running out of stuff for you to do, Nintendo has some great news for you today. The free April update launches later this week and brings with it a whole host of new content to sink your teeth into. Fortunately, Nintendo has made it super easy to digest all the new stuff coming with a handy update video. Give it a look below.

Starting on April 23, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is getting a few new visitors. Leif the sloth is back with his beautiful garden shop. He was introduced in New Leaf and sold flowers, saplings, and other gardening tools. He looks to be back at it again with a shop full of new plants to grow. Redd is also on the island with his black-market treasure trawler. You'll be able to buy new artwork and furniture from the fox soon. On top of that, the museum is getting an expansion. That's right! Blathers is opening up an art exhibit.

And, of course, the update wouldn't be complete without some new seasonal events. First up is Nature Day, which kicks off on April 23 and lasts until May 4. It gives you some new ways to earn Nook Miles. Next up is May Day, which lets you take a limited-time tour in what looks like a hedge maze. After that, the island is holding a stamp rally for International Museum Day. Finally, Wedding Season is upon the island from June 1 to June 30. You'll have to help the citizens out with composing anniversary pictures.

As you can see, there continues to be quite a bit to do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. And, with more to come, there's never been a better time to pick it up and start playing on your Nintendo Switch.
