Nintendo announced today that they will be holding another short Nintendo Direct tomorrow to reveal their upcoming Animal Crossing mobile game. The Animal Crossing focused Direct will only last fifteen minutes, and will not cover any 3DS or Nintendo Switch software.

As I mentioned before, the Nintendo Direct will be held tomorrow, specifically from 8pm PT/11pm ET, so it should wrap up around 8:15pm PT/11:15pm ET. The Animal Crossing mobile game was first announced and confirmed to be free-to-play all the way back in early 2016 and was slated release later that year. Unfortunately, both it and the Fire Emblem mobile game, which wound up being Fire Emblem Heroes, were pushed back into 2017, and little has been about the title since.

Since its announcement, the Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome amiibo update hit 3DS, bringing a ton of new content to the now nearly five-year-old game. Nothing has been said about the next mainline title in the series, which many are hoping comes to Nintendo Switch. Sadly, it seems like those yearning for a Nintendo Switch release will have to wait a little bit longer to hear what is coming next for the beloved series on Nintendo consoles.

While no specific mobile platforms have been revealed for the Animal Crossing mobile game, it is likely that it will release on both iOS and Android. DualShockers will be sure to let you know what exactly the game entails when the Nintendo Direct happens tomorrow.
