Animal Crossing: New Horizons brings a new storage shed item to help solve players' storage problems - here's how you can get it.

Got a full inventory? Storage has been an age-old problem that nearly every Animal Crossing player can relate to. After all, with thousands of items and clothing, it's difficult not to hang on to something just in case a design calls for it.

Thankfully, the new Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 update is giving players a solution - a storage shed item and three home storage updates. Now, players can store all of the crops, gyroids, and customized furniture they want without stressing about limits.

Keep reading below to find out how to obtain the storage shed in the update!

HOW TO GET THE STORAGE SHED ITEM

Conveniently, the storage shed can be redeemed using Nook Miles at an ABD. Luckily, with the new portable ABD item, redeeming miles will be even easier to do than before.

The most useful aspect of the storage shed is that it directly connects to the players' home storage. It'll be a much more convenient way for players to transfer items from their pockets to their homes, as the shed can be placed nearly anywhere on the island. So, when the pocket inventory fills up, skip the entering/exiting home animations and go straight to a storage shed outside.

Unfortunately, since the shed is linked to the player's home, it doesn't provide any additional space on top of what the home already provides. However, the update will also introduce three home upgrades that will take care of any remaining needs.

All three home upgrades are purchasable from Tom Nook in the Resident Services building. Currently, home storage can hold up to 2400 items, but the three upgrades more than double the available space. The first upgrade will boost it up to 3200, the second to 4000, and the third to 5000 items.

All in all, looks like storing limitations will be a thing of the past. Just make sure to stack up on bells and Nook Miles before the update! If these new items and features are anything like previous upgrades, they're sure to come with a pretty hefty price tag.

The New Horizons 2.0 update will be downloadable from the Nintendo eShop on November 5th, along with the Happy Home Paradise DLC.
