Nintendo's mobile game Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp is introducing a crossover event between two of its popular franchises—starting today, players of the iOS and Android game can earn Splatoon 2-themed gear from completing in-game activities.

The event will begin with the Blitz Clam Scavenger Hunt, based on the Splatoon 2 mode of the same name. The activity will have players collecting "blitz clams," eventually using them to craft Splatoon-themed clothing. The scavenger hunt will last until September 25.

Following the scavenger hunt will be the self-explanatory Fishing Tourney #6—here, you'll be fishing for squid, which is a bit dark once you think about it. Have fun catching, killing, and eating the very creatures that this wonderful and colorful game is based off on. This will go on until September 27.

Players of the game can purchase Splatoon 2 Cookie Packs and get furniture based on Splatoon 2 spawn points. Be sure to follow our coverage of tonight's Nintendo Direct in case any Animal Crossing or Splatoon news items are present.
