Animal Crossing Shamrock Day - What is it, Date and How to Get All ACNH Items

Here's everything you need to know about the upcoming Shamrock Day in ACNH.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons manages to keep itself fresh to players with its constant in-game changes. As we move into March, players are treated to a new season, new weather, bugs, fish, sea critters and so much more. One of the coolest celebrations of the month is the Super Mario Anniversary crossover event, which sees players have the opportunity to purchase a bunch of Mario themed items. But that’s not the only celebration this month, alongside that, Pi Day and Hinamatusri, we have the Animal Crossing Shamrock Day – here’s everything you need to know about it.

What is Shamrock Day?

Shamrock Day is Animal Crossing’s version of the Irish holiday – St. Patrick’s Day. The holiday has been celebrated in Ireland, and all over the world, for over 1,000 years and commemorates the Patron Saint of Ireland, Saint Patrick.

When is Shamrock Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

The actual Shamrock Day festivities take place on March 17 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, however, players have the opportunity to purchase both the Shamrock Day furniture and clothing as early March 10.

What items Animal Crossing Shamrock Day items are available?

Players will have the opportunity to purchase a range of rotating items from the Nook Shopping section of Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Amongst the items will be a Shamrock Day Rug, Shamrock Day Doorplate and Shamrock Day Soda.

Alongside the furniture items, players can purchase and get dressed up in a range of St. Patrick’s Day inspired clothing. The clothing items are typically bright green and include Shamrock Shoes, Shamrock Glasses, a Shamrock Top Hat and a Shamrock suit. These items will be available for purchase from The Able Sister’s store.

What other celebrations happen in March?

Well, March 10 (MAR10) is typically Mario day, and Nintendo has teased that something may be happening on that date. Earlier in the month, players had the opportunity to purchase Hinamatsuri items, and on March 14 (3.14) players can buy a Pi Day Pie.
