Animal Talking to Have Huge Marvel Star as Guest Next Week

Time to Marvel at the latest guest on Gary Whitta's virtual talk show.

If you’ve not heard of it yet, or seen it on Twitter, Animal Talking is a late night style talk show, hosted within Animal Crossing. It is the brainchild of esteemed screenwriter and author Gary Whitta, who before this was probably best known for penning Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The show has been a massive success on Twitch and subsequently YouTube and has played host to some massive guests, including Musician Sting and Actor Kevin Smith who both starred in the Season Two premiere.

During the last episode, which included Actor Josh Gad and Critical Roll’s Matthew Mercer, Gary Whitta announced the line up for the following episode. The headlining star, dubbed as “the most-requested guest in the show’s history”, was confirmed to be non-other than Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson.

Brie Larson is a known Animal Crossing player and recently started her own YouTube Channel, in which she showed off her island in her second uploaded video. She will be joined in this upcoming episode by streamers Dr Lupo and Friskk and musical guest Kenny Fong. The episode will be live over on Twitch on Thursday 23 July at 7PM PT.

The show has become so popular, that one time guest and legendary actor Danny Trejo now has a recurring segment in which he takes viewers on a tour of his island. The segment is comedy gold. We see the “real” Danny Trejo who sheds the hardened badass act and shows us he’s just a regular, and incredibly pure soul as he runs round his island fishing and releasing obscene amounts of butterflies from his pockets.

In a time where the world needed uplifting, Gary Whitta stepped in and bought us this masterclass of an idea – combining the zeitgeist that is Animal Crossing with his network of celebrity friends. Since its inception Animal Talking has just gone from strength to strength and is now required viewing. Great Work Gary.
