Animal Talking has been one of 2020's unexpected delights. The talk show, set inside Animal Crossing: New Horizons, is the brainchild of Rogue One writer Gary Whitta. Since the show's inception earlier this year, it's played host to some of the biggest names in pop culture and gaming. Guests so far have included Captain Marvel herself, Brie Larson, Xbox top dog, Phil Spencer and the absolutely delightful Danny Trejo. The show ran for two seasons but was put on hiatus for Whitta's next venture, Talk Guys. Talk Guys had a similar premise to Animal Talking, a talk show within a video game and looked to capitalise on the success of Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout. Unfortunately, that show failed to capture the hearts of the audience, so, after a brief tease a couple of days ago, Whitta confirmed that fan favourite Animal Talking would be returning.Announced on Twitter, the show will be returning this Friday at 7 PM PT and will once again play host to some huge guests. While usually, the show would be live-streamed on Twitch, the complexity of the guests in this episodes means things will have to be done a little differently. Host Whitta said:

"This episode will be a little different FYI… due to the difficulty of scheduling all these guests at the same time the episode was pre-recorded and will debut as a Youtube Premiere Friday 7pm PT/10pm ET. I’ll be in the live chat watching along with you!"

The first of the three on the docket is none other than streaming sensation Shroud. Shroud, who signed an exclusivity deal with Mixer before the platform closed down, returned to Twitch recently and hit over 500,000 viewers during his comeback.

Next up is one of British music's most recognisable acts, Gorillaz. The alternative/pop-rock superstars rose to prominence in the early 2000s as an incredibly talented band who performed under the moniker of four virtual musicians. Their biggest hits include Clint Eastwood and Feel Good Inc.

The final guest is a little closer to home for Whitta and is his former Talk Guys Co-host Kate Stark. Stark, who also had a production role on the earlier seasons of Animal Talking, will be guesting on the show for the first time. She herself also dabbles in Twitch streaming and has amassed nearly 50,000 followers on the platform.

Exciting times ahead.
