Anime-to-Game Alert: First Trailer for The Reminiscence of Haruhi Suzumiya

As you know, I’ve been following the PS3 and PSP title The Reminiscence of Haruhi Suzumiya. It isn’t the first game based off the popular anime series (and one of my all-time favorites), but it is the latest and it is the first one that will be making its way to the PlayStation 3. I can’t really tell what’s going on in the trailer, although at certain points you can see a reticule on screen where it appears the player can select certain areas of the shot, sort of like a point-and-click adventure. Oh, and there’s some yelling. Yeah, I’m pretty sure Haruhi is spending most of the trailer yelling at poor Kyon. Story of my life.

The Reminiscence of Haruhi Suzumiya, after seeing a two-month delay, is scheduled to be released in Japan by Namco-Bandai on May 12, 2011. Because it’s on Sony’s system, you know it’s importable if you get the gumption for some of Haruhi’s antics, because it’s highly unlikely we’ll ever see this localized for the West.
