Announcing Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist, A Live Action TV Series

Yesterday at Comic-Com Capcom revealed Street Fighter: Assassin’s Fist. No, this isn’t the fantastic CG spin-off starring Cammy that we’ve been praying for but instead a live action television series. I’m serious. Street Fighter is getting a live action TV show, and it’s scheduled to start broadcasting next year.

The story will focus on the origins of series stars Ryu and Ken, as well as Gouken and the villainous Akuma. The announcement video below features Joey Ansah, who was most likely chosen by Capcom because of his meticulous work on the short film Street Fighter: Legacy.

Those interested in this project should hit up the Facebook page for updates and what not. I’m personally not very hype about this but to each its own. The announcement video and Street Fighter: Legacy can be viewed below.
