After many years in development the full remake of the Game Boy game Metroid II: Return of Samus has now been released in full. The fan remake is a free game and has been developed by DoctorM64. The 1.0 release is available for Windows PC but will come to Linux soon.
Metroid II: Return of Samus released for Game Boy in 1991, and continued the action-adventure elements of the first, though with a more linear progression system. The game tasked Samus with hunting down the Metroids on SR388.
AM2R was released today to coincide with the 20th anniversary of Metroid, which released in Japan on August 6, 1996 for the Famicom Disk System.
Ladies and gentlemen, the first full release of AM2R is now out. Have fun! https://t.co/1kZmsOvYoT
