Just yesterday, word got out that there would be a five hour Nintendo Switch event in New York City for members of the press to go hands-on with the system. This will be taking place on January 13 – a day after the console’s proper unveiling.
It seems as though the same invitation will be extended to Europe as well, as press outlets are also now receiving invitations for an event in Paris as well.
Jeuxvidéo.com Founder Nico Augusto posted what looks to be an email invitation on Twitter earlier today.
Major details regarding the Nintendo’s new console will be shared during their “Tokyo Webcast” the day before, which will be an event for invited media, financial analysts, and trade partners in Tokyo. It will include the launch date and pricing for the new console, as well as a look at the lineup of games currently in development.
During Nintendo’s quarterly financial briefing last month, CEO Tatsumi Kimishima did not provide further specifications on the newly unveiled Switch, but did mention that the company predicts to ship two million units in the console’s launch month of March 2017.
