EA and Bioware have announced that an Anthem Closed Alpha will occur from December 8-9, 2018 and will be available in sessions.

Players who want to participate in the Anthem Closed Alpha will have to sign up via the EA Community Playtesting site but that won't guarantee access. You will only be able to play the alpha on one platform of your choice and will be notified via email if you have been chosen and will receive instructions on how to download the alpha too.

Players of this Anthem Closed Alpha will be under an NDA which means no information/footage/imagery is permitted to be shared publicly on Twitter, YouTube, etc.

What's a Closed Alpha?

It’s an opportunity for you to check out Anthem but we’ll also be adjusting things like matchmaking and server load on the fly.

These Community Playtests are more limited than what we want to share in the pre-launch demos. All of these factors combined mean that we’re making access to our Playtests limited, which is where the “closed” part of the name comes from.

A new trailer for Anthem will be premiering during Geoff Keighley's The Game Awards 2019 next Thursday and potentially a tease for the next Dragon Age. Anthem reached its Alpha Phase in September of this year, a major milestone on its way towards release on February 22, 2019. You can read a preview of Anthem based on our experience with the game at PAX West 2018.
