Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Twitch stream of the massively popular indie game Among Us proved to be a record-breaking turn the first time around. AOC raked in roughly 400,000 concurrent viewers watching her stream live where she collaborated with streamers such as Pokimane and Hasanbi, as well as fellow Representative Ilhan Omar, in the interest of motivating those viewers to get out and vote in the 2020 Presidential Election.

AOC has garnered a massive following on both Twitter and Twitch and many people have been wondering when she will be giving it another go. Luckily for them, they won't have to wait much longer. In response to an invitation from the head of Canada’s New Democratic Party, Jagmeet Singh, AOC announced on her Twitter account today that she will once again be streaming Among Us:

She will be joining Singh as well as streamers Hasanabi and Northerlion on their respective channels. The group intends to go live on Friday, November 27th at 7 PM ET // 4 PM PT (which you can follow on AOC's Twitch channel) for what will likely be another massive turnout during the holiday weekend. If the Congresswoman's first foray into the world of streaming is any indication, this next one will surely be another very memorable experience rife with moments and will make for many more viral clips and gifs.

AOC's streaming has marked a definite rise in politicians' uses of video game culture. With these streams as well as presidential candidates using games like Animal Crossing to connect with the masses, the tides are definitely turning into a more inclusive and understanding platform where games are seen less as a controversial topic and more of another method of speaking with individuals who they may not usually get to speak to.

Among Us is available now, exclusively on Android, iOS, and PC. If you want to get notified when AOC goes live, make sure to follow her on her dedicated Twitch channel.
