There is inevitably some major crossover between the gaming and Marvel fandoms -- that is one of the reasons that Marvel's Spider-Man sold so well. And this often means some cool fan creations. This week, some video-editing mastermind spliced together Apex Legends cinematics with the newly-revealed Avengers: Endgame trailer, and it is the crossover we deserve.

Created by YouTuber Simon Cez, the crossover trailer doesn't put itself out to be a shot-for-shot remake. Instead, what we are seeing is some artistically edited shots of cinematics in points that tend to fit with the musical cues. But enough of me talking about it, you can watch it here:

All things considered, he does a great job with the limited Apex Legends cinematics that already exist.

Obviously this is not the first time that we have seen gaming -- or even battle royale titles -- cross ways with Avengers. Many will remember the Thanos Mode added to Fortnite: Battle Royale where players had to hunt for the Infinity Gauntlet; obviously a marketing move for the movie which paid off. However, other less-notable crossovers exist. Take for instance the Far Cry New Dawn Easter Egg where series-favorite Hurk quotes the now infamous line when downed: "Mr. Stark... I don't feel so good!"

In other Apex Legends news, the big talking points this week are the mysterious new jump pads popping up around the game map. Speculation is calling on the fact this may be hint of the new Legend, Octane, making an appearance sometime this week. Outside of meta discussions of both cheaters and wishing for a China-only server, it was revealed that Tyler "Ninja" Blevins was paid roughly $1 million to promote Apex Legends by EA when the game initially rolled out.

Apex Legends is available as a free-to-play battle royale game on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. If you haven't read our review yet, we recently reviewed the game, and think it has the ability to change the development landscape as we know it. Meanwhile, Avengers: Endgame releases in theaters on April 26, 2019 -- if you haven't seen the trailer for that, you can check out the (real) version below:
