As the festive cheer draws on near, Apex Legends has had numerous Christmassy-themed updates arrive in the title. During The Game Awards that took place last week on December 12, Mirage took to the stage with Geoff Keighley dressed as a charming nutcracker (Mirage said he's a captain but whatever) where he announced his Holo-Day Bash.Respawn Entertainment's Apex Legends is no stranger to limited-time modes. The Holo-Day Bash is currently live which introduces a Christmassy decorated ship "the Mirage Voyage" near Lava City in Worlds Edge. The ship features numerous holograms of Mirage and also a good amount of loot available to nab. The Holo-Day Bash is live through to January 7, you can watch the trailer for it below.

In addition to the Holo-Day Bash there's also a new timed mode called Winter Express which finds three squads dropping down to the world in an attempt to capture the train that's chugging along Worlds Edge. The train will stop at stations until one of the three squads has won three rounds. Rounds can be won by either capturing the train or being the last squad alive, and then when the next round begins the dead squads respawn.

Players will land with custom, pre-determined loadouts so there's no looting required. However, when players die they drop some ammo. Players are also free to choose who they want to play at any point before the respawn takes place. Loadouts change daily, meaning one day Bangalore may have a Triple Take, the next she might have a Spitfire.

There are also challenges to complete while the event is live which reward players with skins, badges, and music packs. More information on the event such as skins can be read on the official blog post.

The event will end on January 7. Apex Legends is free to play on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
