Apex Legends Leaker Reveals New "Tropics" Map, Featuring Alien Plants and Tridents
Tridents are expected to return in the new Apex map!
Garret, a reliable leaker when it comes to all things Apex Legends, has revealed details on an upcoming map for the popular Battle Royale. The new map for Apex Legends is reportedly titled “Tropics” and will feature the return of Tridents, as well as new alien plants.
Unfortunately though, Garret has revealed that he doesn’t expect the new map to arrive in Season 10. This is based on the history of the previous map releases. We do however know what new weapon skins will be arriving in Season 10 of Apex Legends, check out the link below to find out more.

Apex Legends – Tropics Map
In his latest YouTube video, Garret revealed that a file for a new map, codenamed “Tropic Island”, has been discovered in the Apex Legends files.
The final version of the upcoming map is reportedly set to be called “Tropics” and not the codename mentioned previously. The map will see the return of the Tridents vehicle and will feature a slightly different texture to the ones found on Olympus.
As you can see from the pictures above, the Tridents found on Tropics will have a much dirtier texture than the Olympus Tridents. Although visually very similar, the Tropics version likely has dirt marks along the sides to go with the terrain of the new map.
Thanks to further files found, the Apex Legends leaker also revealed that new ‘Alien Plants’ will likely feature on the new map. Exactly what the purpose of the new plants are for is yet to be revealed.
As for where exactly Tropics is set, Garret believes the new map will take place on Gaea. The reason for this is theory is due to each Apex Legends map being associated with a Legend, and Gaea is the home planet of Rampart, Caustic, and Cyrpto.
Tropics Map Release Date
Unfortunately, the trusted Apex Legend leaker doesn’t expect the new map to arrive in Season 10. During his YouTube video, he said “Looking at recent patterns of map releases, it would make sense that [Tropics] is a Season 11 map”.
The reason for this theory is due to the recent pattern of map releases averaging around every four seasons before a new one is released. Make sure to check out Garret’s YouTube video for more details.
