Apex Legends Players Are Asking Respawn to Give Them the Opportunity to Still do Damage While Downed in a Hilarious Manner

"Let me monch an ankle."

Getting downed is the worst part of any battle royale experience. Assuming you’re playing with a team, you’re forced to just try and hide and wait for a teammate to pick you back up and get you back into the action. This is no different in Apex Legends, Respawn Entertainment and EA’s latest foray into the genre.

Now though, some players are asking Respawn to add a new function that wouldn’t make them so useless when they get downed. In a new post on the Apex Legends subreddit, one player with the username u/DevineRedefined is asking for Respawn to still allow them to deal damage to other players while they are down. This user suggests that the attacks be in the form of biting and that it only would deal around 5 damage per bite if an enemy player got too close.

“I’m sick of being useless JUST because I’m bad at the game,” said the Reddit post in question. “Let me monch an ankle.”

The rest of the thread is filled with other Apex Legends players generally agreeing with the suggestion and asking Respawn to add it to the game right now. Some have even thought of funnier instances in which this tactic would be useful. “When one of you had a gold shield you will have 3 crawling monsters,” said one user in response, which would actually be quite funny. The idea of three crawling zombie-like players all trying to bite others to deal damage is great.

Even though this post was clearly made in jest, it’s actually not that bad of an idea to implement into the game. Being able to do at least something more than crawl around and shield yourself while downed seems funs. Whether or not Respawn will actually add it to Apex Legends though remains to be seen.

Currently, Apex Legends is available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. If you’d like to learn more about the game, you can read our review right here.
