After weeks of anticipation, Respawn Entertainment and EA have today announced the start date for Season 1 of Apex Legends and it's kicking off sooner than you might think.

Season 1 of Apex Legends, entitled Wild Frontier, will finally go live tomorrow for all platforms at 10:00am PST/1:00pm EST. This first season of the game will give players a variety of free rewards to earn along with introducing the game's ninth playable character first post-launch addition in Octane. Respawn says that Octane is available as of today if you want to play with him now.

In addition to the new playable character and the arrival of Season 1, the first Battle Pass for Apex Legends will also go live tomorrow. Much like Battle Passes for other popular titles like Fortnite, this pass in Apex Legends will allow you to earn up to 100 awards for playing throughout Season 1. These awards include XP, new character and weapon skins, and other additional skins.

The Battle Pass will retail for 950 Apex Coins (equal to $9.50) at a baseline but you can also purchase the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins to unlock the next 25 levels of the Battle Pass. You'll also immediately unlock the Lifeline Revolutionary skin, the Wraith Survivor skin, and the Mirage Outlaw skin simply for buying the Battle Pass.

Even if you don't get the Battle Pass first thing tomorrow, you'll retroactively unlock all rewards for the pass if you were to purchase it further into Season 1.

Apex Legends is available now for free on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
