What's new in the most recent update?

March 23, 2021

Ever since the Chaos Theory Collection Event started, it seems like we’re seeing more and more patches. Another Apex Legends update for March 23 just went live.

It seems like every day we’re getting new news on updates, patches, and hotfixes for Apex Legends.

Luckily, it seems like the devs at Respawn Entertainment are ironing out a lot of the issues that have been hurting the game since its most recent event.

As the event comes to a close, Respawn has pushed another patch. Here’s everything you need to know about the Apex Legends update for March 23.

Apex Legends Update March 23

The patch that went live today was a relatively small one. It’s in line with a lot of the other small edits and hotfixes that have been made to the game as of late, but it’s definitely nice to see that devs are fixing some of those pesky bugs. There are no official patch notes for the update, but Respawn did tweet out what has been fixed. The three fixes in the update are:

  • Heat Shields are returning to the regular loot pool in regular and ranked playlists.
  • Fast-heal has been removed from Heat Shields
  • Minor map tweaks to prevent players from getting stuck in King’s Canyon

These changes aren’t anything major except for the removal of fast-heal from the newly introduced Heat Shields. Hopefully, this helps balance the game better.

Speaking of balance and updates, it seems like the developers are starting to think about how the game’s newest Legend, Fuse, could be improved. In a recent Reddit thread, they discussed very vaguely what a possible buff for the character might look like. You can find our full coverage of that right here.
