Following today's reveal on Weekly Famitsu, the Japanese arm of Amazon opened pre-orders for Compile Heart's brand new JRPG Arc of Alchemist. As a consequence, we get to see the first direct-feed screenshots of the game.

Arc of Alchemist was teased for a few days in the usual Compile Heart style, and it shows a pretty interesting contrast between the cutesy character design by Mota and the dark and gloomy concept artwork by acclaimed Final Fantasy maestro Yoshitaka Amano.

Compile Heart's own President Norihisa Kochiwa will be at the helm as Producer alongside Kosuke Uchida working on the game as Director, and Senran Kagura writer Yukinori Kitajima on the scenario writing.

The game includes an interesting battle system mixing action and tactics, base-building elements, and seamless transition between exploration and combat.

It will launch in Japan on November 29th exclusively for PS4. Of course, no information has been provided so far about a possible western release. Yet, being by Compile Heart, the odds are pretty good.
