Today Compile Heart released the first gameplay trailer of its upcoming JRPG Arc of Alchemist.

The trailer gives an introduction to the story and cast, then moves on to show the first gameplay, including the Lunar Gear that lets the player harness the powers of the elements, Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth.

For those unfamiliar with the game, it combines RPG gameplay with elements of base building and exploration. Interestingly, the world was created based on artwork by Yoshitaka Amano. The character design is handled by Mota.

You can enjoy the trailer below. If you want to see more you can check out a previous video, and the first screenshots. You can also read plenty of details.

Arc of Alchemist will release in Japan on November 29th exclusively for PS4. At the moment, no information has been provided so far about a possible western release. Given that it’s by Compile Heart, the odds are pretty good that Idea Factory International might localize it.
