Following yesterday’s reveal on Famitsu and the release of the first direct-feed screenshots, Compile Heart released the first teaser trailer of its upcoming JRPGĀ Arc of Alchemist.

The trailer focuses on the world of the game, which features a rather interesting contrast with the cutesy character design by Mota. The other side of the art style of the game comes from the iconic concept art by Yoshitaka Amano, which is shown at the end of the video.

While the trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, the title comes with an interesting battle system mixing action and tactics, with the addition of base-building elements and seamless transition between exploration and combat. It certainly appears to be a departure from the usual Compile Heart fare.

Arc of AlchemistĀ will release in Japan on November 29th exclusively for PS4. At the moment, no information has been provided so far about a possible western release. Since it’s by Compile Heart, there are good chances that Idea Factory International will localize it.
