A fourth newcomer has been revealed for Arc System Works’ upcoming anime fighter BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. This reveal comes via the latest issue of Famitsu magazine. The new fighter’s name is Izayoi, and as series fans have probably surmised, she’s an alternate form of Tsubaki Yayoi. Izayoi is apparently Tsubaki’s “true form” and I’m assuming that in this form she can utilize the full power of her blinding weapon Izayoi.

Aside from looking much cooler than Tsubaki, Izayoi also has a completely unique fighting style. She is able to alternate between a normal mode and a “Gain Art” mode, while building her special “Reishiki” meter. She relies on a strong long-range game while in normal mode and has increased mobility and rush-down potential in Gain Art mode.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma will be available in Japanese arcades next week on November 21st. Sometime thereafter it will launch for the Japanese PS3, and hopefully eventually hit North American consoles. Enjoy a precious few screens of Izayoi below.
