Arc System Works teased a possible new RPG game, but the reveal is coming at a time in which many won't take the announcement seriously.

Today Arc System Works opened a teaser website for a new RPG game to be announced on April 1st.

This is what makes the¬†whole thing a bit fishy considering that April 1st is the infamous time for jokes, and Arc System Works isn’t new to playing pranks on its fans.

The April Fool tradition has become increasingly popular in Japan, with the country being particularly sensitive to absorbing this kind of stuff from the west, especially when it’s a good chance to have fun.

That being said, we received an official press release from the publisher, mentioning that the teaser website is only a glimpse of things to come, so it could be legit. All we can do is wait and see what comes out of this.

Personally, I’d certainly like to see an RPG developed by Arc System Works, which is mostly known for its fighting games (latest of which being Dragon Ball FighterZ for Bandai Namco). We’ll see if it comes to fruition.
